When you upload a conversation to Diction, the full content of that conversation is stored on our servers. This includes all messages and responses contained in the file or link you provide.
Please review your conversations before uploading. Remove any sensitive information you do not want stored on our servers, such as passwords, financial details, health information, confidential business information, or personal details of others.
By uploading, you confirm that you have the right to share that content with us and that doing so does not violate any law or confidentiality obligation.
We use the conversations you upload to provide you with coaching feedback. We may also use conversation data in anonymized form to improve our coaching quality, develop new features, and make Diction better for everyone.
We do not sell your conversations. We do not share your conversation content with other users unless you choose to create a share link (see below).
When you share a conversation, it becomes visible to anyone with the link. Share links are not password-protected and do not require a Diction account to view.
Shared conversations may be viewed, saved, or indexed by search engines. Do not share conversations that contain sensitive or private information.
You can delete any conversation at any time from within the app. Deleting permanently removes the conversation, its analysis, and any share link from our servers.
To delete your entire account and all associated data, email us at privacy@diction.coach.
You can turn off analytics at any time from Settings. If your browser has Do Not Track enabled, analytics never load in the first place.
When you opt out, we stop collecting usage data and recording your sessions. Some basic, anonymous page-view counting and minimal server-side logging may continue to help us keep the service running. None of this ever includes your conversation content.
We collect information about how you use Diction, such as which pages you visit, when you upload a conversation, and how long an analysis takes. This helps us understand what's working and what needs improvement.
When you sign in, we also store your email address and an account identifier so we can link your activity to your account.
The content of your conversations, your prompts, and AI responses are never sent to our analytics. Our system is built so that this data cannot be included in analytics events, even by accident.
We record how you navigate the app so we can find and fix usability issues. Any conversation text that appears on screen is automatically hidden in these recordings and replaced with placeholder characters.
We use the following services to power our analytics:
